Keep On The Path

...Every once in awhile God sends a great and godly christian along to inspire us, and to give us a clearer picture of Christ. Ignatius, John Bunyan, Amy Carmichael, and Jim Elliot are just a few. What do we do with their examples? We follow. ...We follow Christ and all the saints who have gone before. We persevere knowing that we do not strive for an earthly crown but a heavenly one. Nothing can compare to the riches in glory that we have in Christ Jesus. ...John Bunyan once spoke of a pilgrimage, a journey we must take. Pilgrims Progress is the second most sold book after the Bible. Along the way Christian is besought with dangers, trials, and terrible hardships; some Christians today would tell him to turn back because he must have gone astray - otherwise why isn't the Lord blessing him? Brothers and sisters, the way is hard and the Christians life is full of trials. This does not mean we are on the wrong track - rather take it as confirmation that you are on the right one. Jesus said that those who hated Him would hate us; if our Lords life was hard, why not His servants? ...Do not fall asleep or allow your precious faith to be compromised. Let us set aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and run the full length of the race before our feet. Do not grow weary in doing good for in due season you shall reap what you sow. ...Keep on the path...
