~The Desperado's of the Family~

~Once again I haven't a clue exactly how I'm related to the people in this photo, but, it should suffice to say they are an assorted bunch of  Great Aunts, Great Uncles, Great Grandparent's, and Cousins. There. Did I cover everything? I'm sure I did.

~Out of the group this fellow is a favorite. I certainly hope we're related to him, just not too closely. He reminds me of Doc Holiday actually, something about that mustache and hat...

~Great Great Aunt Bernice~ I've been told she loved horses, isn't she cute?

Okay, I'm not sure how we're related to this couple, but, I hope it's only by marriage. They look cranky. The names?

 ~John and Elmira Staltz~ Other what? The backs of postcards are so interesting...

Now this is an interesting couple, look at her freckles and his bow tie! I'm not sure how these two are related to us either unfortunately, I'm still waiting for someone to give me more information. Their names are Bill Meatee and Jennie "Woodcock" Meatee. Why the weird last name? I have no idea, maybe he really liked meat!

~Some vintage family photos~

While at my Grandparents house I had the opportunity to scan and "clean" some old family photos including this one of my Great Grandfather, George Foster. I think he was quite a handsome fellow, don't you?

 

The picture was so dark I went in and lightened it in picasa - in these you can actually see his face...

So far I haven't been able to identify this family, but the picture is around a century old and from my mothers side.

Apparently the little boy in the far right corner missed the memo - "Remember, frown for the picture kids". I'd like to think the family line descends from him...
