~For those of you who haven't already, you simply must must
must go take a look at
this post over at the "Vintage Baroness". (And here is another
link to a comprehensive list of the film locations - very interesting!) Its all from the perspective of a lady who is actually standing in the exact locations "Anne" did for the film! Simply lovely museum pieces from the Edwardian era too. Expect a treat!
Meanwhile, here are a few photos from the film... I now feel the urge to go
watch it for the hundredth time...
~I'm so glad I have an old chest now, I love old chests...
~One of Anne's amazingly beautiful dresses. These movies have some of my favorite film costumes of all time!

~Anne and Gilbert. One of the most endearing romances of all time, hands down!

thank you so much for the link back! I must say that when we moved to the area, I had NO idea the Green Gables movie settings were here and not PEI. These books were my LIFE when I was a preteen and even teenager. I majored in English lit and did Victorian literature grad studies because of the Anne series, so it was an incredibly emotional experience for me to visit these buildings. The best is yet to come, though. I still have to visit the house used as GREEN GABLES and a few other choice locations. xoxo
You are very welcome! And thank you for posting about your amazing trip! I can't wait to read more!
I've always loved the Anne series too - especially the first few! What girl worth her salt can't relate to Anne? I'm planning on doing English as a major too - and Victorian literature is THE best!
