Grandma's Victorian Cottage

~I haven't had a chance to get many pictures of my vacation spot yet - but I assure you, there will be more to come! Above is my "vintage" luggage case, vintage because it was my mothers and before her it was my grandmothers. When I pulled it out of the shed it still had the little red white and blue traveling tag with my mothers maiden name and address written in! Little details that really make me smile - and I added a blue and white scarf of my own to keep it company.

 ~Front door entry...

~The front of the "cottage", don't you love gingerbread trim?

~White picket fence out front with beautiful red roses. My Grandmother is an avid gardener, she has zillions of flowers all over the place!

 ~Rose against the sky.

~The corner of the original molding on the porch, still sturdy after 112 years!

~That's all for now! I'll try to find time to get more of the house when I get a chance!

Love the suitcase and scarf photo, as it evokes a sense of anticipation and excitement at the thought of a new adventure. God bless.

Thanks everyone! I'm rather jealous of my grandparents as well... Of course, I have so many sweet memories of visiting in this house that I almost half forget its actually a treasure trove for antique lovers! Its one of the dearest places on earth for me...

Sally Ann,

Its not actually a coastal city, but close enough to drive over! We went to Brookings Oregon the other day for sun and waves!
