15 things I am not afraid to admit

Today Savannah tagged and awarded me! " Things I'm not afraid to admit" usually means people are trying to get you to admit things you are afraid to admit though :) So I guess I will need to be extra careful. 1. I am not afraid to admit that I have stayed up until 2 AM in the morning writing "books", yes, writing is a great passion of mine and something I can't go too long without! 2. I am not afraid to admit that I love Jesus and hope to continue in a deeper and deeper relationship with Him every year that I live! 3. I am not afraid to admit that I love to dress as "old fashioned" as possible. (Petticoats, laced up boots, wide floppy hats to tam 'O shanty's, gloves, floor length scarfs, cameos, cloth handkerchiefs...the whole nine yards) 4. I am not afraid to admit that I have been called a worrier, and that fear is one of my besetting sins. But Christ is so faithful to pick me up again when I fall, and to quiet my fears while giving me an ever new appreciation for His faithfulness. 5. I am not afraid to admit that I wish I was born in Scotland or Ireland, and am proud of my Irish roots. 6. I am not afraid to admit that though I have been given a car I have not yet learned to drive or even tried. (I'm not sure why this is, but I guess when it happens it'll happen :) 7. I am not afraid to admit that I have dyed my hair more than twice. And that like in Anne of Green Gables case, the results were not too good and ended up in many subsequent dying's. I hope to never do it again :) 8. I am not afraid to admit that though I never cut off my own hair as a child, (every mothers nightmare) I cut off all my friends and my little brothers in one afternoon of "barber shop". 9. I am not afraid to admit that I used to consider clover a delicacy :) 10. I am not afraid to admit that I am a sinner in need of Gods grace with every breath I take. 11. I am not afraid to admit that I am a creature of habit and need my cup of English or Irish breakfast tea at about 8:00 O'clock every morning. Something has gone from my day without it. 12. I am not afraid to admit that Joannes is one one of my favorite stores:) 13. I am not afraid to admit that this post is coming to an untimely end because I am running out of things to say. (uninteresting "safe" things that is) 14. I am not afraid to admit that this post has come to an end. Now I am going to tag Johanna!

I like your new Playlist! I am probably going to barrow some of your songs for my own! I had never heard Garth Brooks song 'Ireland', (I did not know he even did Celtic) but I really like it!
Your sister in His love,

I'm glad you liked my playlist Johanna! I really like the song "Ireland" too, I have been driving my family nuts playing it :)

I am so sorry to hear about your cat! How did he die? I know I would be pretty devastated if anything happened to Fussy :( We were all really looking forward to meeting MacGyver too...

In Christ,

Have you read any of my posts?
Do you think that Jesus Christ the Savior of the world would not wish us to honor his Blessed Mother? Would he choose someone who was impure to be His mother? Nothing pure comes from anything impure.

Concerning Matthew 12:46-50, in heaven of course we are each other's mother and brother and sister because in heaven everyone is perfect. In heaven we will be all loved to each other because God is all love. There will be no more marriage or other human relationships necessary; we will all experience God's perfect love for each other. On verse 48: "Who is my mother?"... This was not spoken by way of slighting his mother, but to show that we are never to suffer ourselves to be taken from the service of God, by any inordinate affection to our earthly parents: and that which our Lord chiefly regarded in his mother, was her doing the will of his Father in heaven. It may also further allude to the reprobation of the Jews, his carnal kindred, and the election of the Gentiles.

Luke 8:21 Who answering, said to them: My mother and my brethren are they who hear the word of God, and do it.
This passage He is directly speaking of His Mother and disciples.

You said: "Scripture is infallible and cannot contradict. I believe it is the perfect and inerrant word of God."
But then you said: "Two, that Paul is lying in Romans when he says in "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God"(Romans 3:23)"

MEN wrote the Bible, and you follow it as your main source. But why do you say that one of the men who wrote the Bible- lied?

You said: "Also, how does abstaining from having sexual relations with your husband (Mary and Joseph)make someone more pure or holy? "

1 Corinthians 7:34 And the unmarried woman and the virgin thinketh on the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit. But she that is married thinketh on the things of the world, how she may please her husband.

Mary being married, remained a virgin.

Ecclesiasticus 7:21 Depart not from a wise and good wife, whom thou best gotten in the fear of the Lord: for the grace of her modesty is above gold.

God gave us marriage so that we may "Genesis 9:7 But increase you and multiply, and go upon the earth, and fill it."

God does what He wants. To be perfect does not always mean to be supernatural. God created Mary perfect born without Original Sin. As so said in my post. I suggest you read my post again about Mary.

Ecclesiasticus 24:24I am the mother of fair love, and of fear, and of knowledge, and of holy hope. 25 In me is all grace of the way and of the truth, in me is all hope of life and of virtue.

That is the True prophecy in the Old Testament and has been revealed to us as Christ's Most Blessed Mother.

God Bless!

Thanks so much for the thoughtful comment Grace! I really appreciate your prompt reply :)I am going to post this comment on your blog as well.

I think that you misunderstood me when I said "Two, that Paul is lying in Romans when he says in "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God"(Romans 3:23)"

I was trying to find out what you believed, I believe that Paul was speaking the absolute truth and that Mary is no exception. She is both human and sinful, as are we all. If you believe anything else then you must believe that Scripture contradicts.

The questions about Mary and marriage were just a side note, I was wondering why you thought that she had to be a virgin to be pure when marriage is a God ordained thing? She would be wrong to withhold herself from her husband.

... "The wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. And likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does. Do not deprive one another except with consent for a time, that you may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again so that Satan does not tempt you because of your lack of self-control." 1 Corinthians 7:4-5

Also you didn't tell me what you thought about the verses which said Jesus had brothers, you admitted it was His mother who stood outside but then you said that it was His disciples He was referring to when He said "brothers". The text clearly says that His disciples stood with Him and that He called them His brothers while the others they were referring to still stood outside with Mary. Who do you think those others outside were?

I hope you do not take this as an attack Grace :) Its been a pleasure for me to read you posts and see where you are coming from. I really do want to have a friendly discussion about Scripture! And to understand better where you are coming from! An excellent book to read is Ephesians, its one of my favorites. Which book of the Bible is your favorite?

In Christ Jesus, God Bless!
